What does that mean?
it means we are 100% legit, which most breeders are not! We have nothing to hide. Our facilities and Boerboels have all been inspected by the United States Department of Agriculture USDA and met ALL of the requirements, which is not easy! From health testing, contract oversight, required sanitary systems (Drains), dog conditions and more. Random suprise Inspections require constant acceptable conditions. The Inspector was very impressed with our operation.

What is special about Barbarian Boerboels?
Hi! We are Danny and Paula Gibson. Well, there is a lot special about us! We are passionate boerboel Enthusiasts.
1. TRUST -We have been breeding boerboels for over 10 years with a solid reputation and excellent reviews. Longer than most breeders in the USA. We are trusted and an ambassador of the breed. More importantly, we have conducted our business with integrity, honesty and fairness. We have several repeat customers, because once you have one boerboel you are hooked! They come back to us for their second and third....
2. PRODUCES WORLD CHAMPIONS AND CONTRIBUTES TO THE FUTURE OF THE BOERBOEL -We have the best and are very consistent. We are world known and have produced world champions. By world champion I mean the highest appraised boerboel in the world at one point. The list of the highest appraised boerboels in the world has many of our boerboels and offspring included. Registered with the best founding registry, the South African Boerboel Breeder Society (SABBS) and Paula has been a North America rep for years, dedicating her time and energy to this magnificent breed. Barbarian Boerboels hosted the very first Boerboel Show in the USA and hosts Boerboel appraisals nearly every year.
3. AMBASSADOR OF THE BREED - Fun fact: The AKC contracted us when they first recognized the breed. They used Barbarian Boerboels and a few others to train the AKC judges on the boerboel breed standard. It was a mock show type and Barbarian Minnie was the winner.
4. HEALTH TESTED - Our dogs are OFA health tested for hips, elbows and heart. They have the best facilities and treatment. We have moved 3 times for these dogs to make their lives more comfortable.
5. WORLD CLASS - Due to the quality of our boerboels, website, photos and video, Barbarian was chosen by a production company in London to do a video on our boerboels, which went viral on many platforms, including Beastly, BigDogz and Dog Dynasty, what an experience that was! (video below)
6. LEGIT - We are legit. We are an LLC. We are federal and state licensed. The USDA has inspected our kennel and was impressed with our indoor/outdoor facilities, which are heated/air conditioned and the quality of care that our boerboels receive.
7. TRANSPARENT - We allow visitors to our kennel, we are proud and have nothing to hide.

The Barbarian Pack - Amazing South African Boerboels located in the USA: Our dogs get the best of everything. Food, supplements, daily exercise and attention, health test, vet care and lots of love. This entire building is dedicated the dogs. They live in indoor and outdoor facilities. Indoors is heated and air conditioned with heated floors and indoor wash stations. We have a complete lab set up for drawing blood, performing tests, inseminations and treatment. Acres of land to exercise and play. They are all fully health tested OFA hips, elbows and heart. We are Danny and Paula Gibson and we LOVE this breed. We have been breeding boerboels almost 10 years now. We have a solid trusted reputation in the boerboel world and do business with the upmost integrity. Our knowledge and love for this breed is second to none. Paula is currently the South Africa Boerboel Breeders Society Representative and coordinates Boerboel Appraisals and Shows as well as assist new members with questions. She loves the boerboels and puppies and does all our photos, video and website.
Our mission is simple, to be the best breeder in the USA and strive for the improvement of the Boerboel by selectively pairing champion bloodlines, highly appraised boerboels with the traits that are important to us: temperament, health, thick bone, large head and muscular. The breeding pair is analyzed thoroughly and bred to compliment and enhance each others strengths and correct any weakness. Barbarian Boerboels ultimate goal and mission is to create the perfect Boerboel for you to love for the rest of its life.
